A Zig & A Zag

Blouse: Loft {here}, Cardigan: Francesca's, Pants: Loft {here}, Necklace: Sam Moon, Watch: Michele {here}, Bracelets: Accessorize {here}& Versona, Flats: Francesca's {here}, Shades: D&G, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Move over stripes because this new zig-zag print, referred to as the chevron print (see cardigan), is taking over and is HOT HOT HOT! Not only is this print trending in the fashion world but it's taking over in the home decor department and is even being seen on nails. I personally will never get tired of stripes but this is definitely a fresh new spin on them which I am loving!!

Flower Power

Blouse: Nordstrom {here}, Pants: Lilly Pulitzer {similar here}, Cardigan: Nordstrom, Necklace: Francesca's {in coral here}, Belt: CottonOn {similar here}, Flats: Francesca's, Bracelets: Sam Moon, Watch: Michael Kors {in silver here}, Clutch: Impeccable Pig

As I stated in my post on Tuesday, Floral prints are all the rage this summer and the second I saw these Lilly Pulitzer pants I knew I had to have them! If you are afraid to color block the outfit because the print is so busy, a simple white tee would go perfectly as well. Fashion is all about having fun and finding a style that expresses yourself so my motto is "Go big or go home".

Happy Thursday!

Wild Side

Blazer: H&M via Fashion Star {similar here}, Blouse: Anthroplogie {similar here}, Skirt: Forever21 {similar here & here},Heels: via DSW, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs {similar here & here}, Bracelet: Charming Charlie, Necklace: Diane Gilman {here}

As I was watching Fashion Star, H&M picked up this amazing blazer from Orly and I knew I had to have it! For those of you who have no idea what Fashion Star is, it is a new show that premiered this past Spring and three stores (Saks, H&M and Macy's) will purchase designers (the contestants) clothes and sell them on their floors the next day. Everything featured on the show fly's off the racks in a matter of hours so obviously I was the first one at the mall waiting to add this gorgeous piece to my wardrobe. I paired it with this cheetah skirt and funky color heels to add a little edge. I encourage you all to take risks this summer and experiment with fun and daring clothes!

A Flare of Floral

Top: Nordstrom {here}, Skirt: Nordstrom {similar here }, Necklace: Macy's {similar here }, Belt: Old Navy, Flats: Bakers, Bracelets: JCPenny, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs {similar here & here }

Yesterday was the first day of my internship at Nordstrom and they are featuring tons of floral prints which are flying out the door. Floral prints have been seen from head to toe on lots of runways and was all over fashion week. You can never go wrong with a long floral skirt and  pearl necklace as it is the perfect definition of feminine. Floral prints have definitely recycled themselves many times as they were very popular in the 1960's but I'd have to say this new rendition is my favorite!

Mixing It Up

Blouse: Nasty Gal { similar here & here  & in fuchsia here }, Skirt: Francesca's {here & similar in the reverse here }, Belt: Francesca's, Necklace: Sam Moon { similar here }, Shades: Ray Ban, Bracelet: Forever21, Ring: Forever 21 { similar here,Shoes: INC, Clutch: Sam Moon { similar here}

Mixing different prints is all the rage this summer and I couldn't wait to hop on board! I think this is such a fun, new and exciting way to pair pieces together and it really shows that anything goes. There are many ways to do this so you need to find what expresses your personality best and go for it. Mixing prints can be scary at first so I would start slow. For instance, Mix a thick red and white stripe shirt with a black and white polka dot mini as this will keep you right in style.

Shorts Story

Blouse: Impeccable Pig, Blazer: Francesca's {Similar here}, Shorts: Necessary Clothing {solid colors here} ,Bracelets: Forever21 {here}, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs {Similar here, Shoes: Seychelles via Nordstrom, Necklace: Dandelion Boutique

It was love at first sight when I saw these printed bow shorts in the store window at Necessary Clothing in Soho, NYC. I knew I had to have them (along with a 1,000 other things in the store) but most importantly I couldn't wait to get these adorable shorts home to pair them with the perfect outfit. Even though teal is not a color seen throughout the shorts, I absolutely love it with orange and gold so I hope you guys do too!

Happy Friday!!
